2026 so far...

An overdue update from the brewzone, it's been quite the year already!

View from the Taproom

We're very grateful to our patrons for a brilliant first half of the year! It's been wonderful to see steady growth in numbers coming, enjoying our beers and soaking up the sun in the yard on those lovely warm evenings.

Very happy to have welcomed Euan as our regular bar-drive - I'm sure those of you who have met him will agree that he's a top geezer and does a fantastic job of keeping everybody refreshed both with drinks and conversation 💓

A big shout out to Lisa and Noah working the bar in Euan's absence, thank you both!

Gower Dough Co x Arthur's Stone Brewery have new openings and events popping - please get in touch if you fancy a party or want to bring your band or do a bit of DJing!

NEW! Sunday Sessions

Every Sunday from 3pm, we're serving drinks alongisde Gower Dough Co's delicious pizza and new small plates menu (including classics like Patatas Bravas, Gambas, Calamari plus some of Jamie's new inventions 😋).  All this plus giant Jenga, Connect 4 and a selection of board games for your pleasure!

Keith on the decks

We've had the monthly pleasure of Keith's company at Crofty Fridays - throwing a set of Funk, Jazz, Soul, Hip-hop, R'n'B goodness.  Very much looking forward to welcoming him back soon, watch out for future dates.

Gower Surf Collective Summer Surf Soirée 8th Aug

What a great party this was!  Shoal of Bass were superb (welcome back boys!), the pizza, hotdogs, nachos, loaded fries and drinks were flying out - everybody had a ball... we're all looking forward to the next one!

What's been mashing?

It's been great to hear the positive feedback on the recent brews - Firehouse 43, Salthouse Pale, Small and especially our extra-pale, gluten free Pilsner "Party at the Ponderosa".  A delightfully refreshing summer crispy boi, it was very satisfying to make this accessible to our friends with gluten issues.  This is on the hotlist to brew again very soon...

It's also been a treat to have deliciousness on tap from our friends at Beer Riff and Dark Element 😋

Brewery Update... go large!

Earlier in the year, the decision was made to expand production capacity to meet demand (what a great problem to have!).  After searching around for kit for a while, chance dropped one in our lap - a secondhand 1000 litre system... in Swansea!

Scraped the dosh, took the leap, gathered a crew and after a fun couple of days, four of us had moved it out of it's old home and into the yard.  That was late May:

If you'd been in over the summer you would have seen these vessels sitting in the yard , looking longingly across at the brick building that would soon be their new home... just flooring, wiring and plumbing need doing before we can kick off a test of the system...

So...

Q: Why has it taken so long?!

A: In short: Lyme Disease SUCKS.  Don't get it.  Check out here for more information: Home - Lyme Disease UK

What next?

Here we are at the end of August, the rhythm of life and seasons pulsing fairly normally - loving that rain!

Your brew-drive's recovery continues, and we find ways to move forward with getting the mighty "ten hec" kit in and commissioned... there will be more updates on that, upcoming events, brews and news soon.

Iechyd Da!
